Clay Comes To Campus

As Harvard welcomes Dartmouth, UConn and Stonehill to its multi-meet at Gordon Track in Cambridge, Mass., this weekend, there will be no question who the greatest athlete on the track will be.

That’s because GoCrimson.com is reporting that Bryan Clay, the reigning Olympic gold medalist in the decathlon, will be competing in the heptathlon on Friday and Saturday. Day one will have Clay and his fellow multi-eventers competing in the 60-meter dash, the long jump, shot put and high jump. On Saturday comes the 60-meter hurdles, 1,000 meter run and the pole vault.

Clay picked up his first gold medal in Beijing after taking home the silver in Athens in 2004. He is the 2005 and 2008 World Indoor champion, a three-time USA Outdoor champion and two-time World Indoor Silver Medalist. Click here for more on Clay.
