Yale: An Academic National Champion

Posted: 6 August by Brett Hoover in Schools, Yale

The U.S. College Track Coaches Association released its 2010 Division I All-Academic teams this week and it turns out that the Yale men had the highest cumulative grade-point average in the land.

The Bulldogs, one of six Ivy men’s teams to earn accolades, carried a collective 3.42 team GPA, just ahead of Lipscomb at 3.39.

On the women’s side, the Bulldogs were again the top team in the Ivy League with a 3.45 GPA (with Harvard right behind at 3.42), but the women’s team GPAs were generally higher than the men’s. Thus the 3.62 average of Oklahoma was the national high.
