Columbia sophomore Mark Feigen won the men’s race at the New York Metropolitan Championships, as both Lions’ squads won the team titles, the 13th straight time for the women.

The men cruised to an easy win, taking the first four spots. Feigen separated himself in the home stretch, winning in 25:46, about 10 seconds ahead of classmates Patrick DeSabato and Leighton Spencer. The remaining scorers for the Lions were freshmen John Gregorek (fourth) and Byron Jones (seventh).

Conversely, the women were led by seniors as Alexandra Crawley was fourth overall in 18:37. Rookie Emma Giantisco snuck in sixth and was followed by a trio of senior veterans — Hannah Kligman (eighth), Samantha Casale Lee (ninth) and Jillian Goodwin (12th).
