It’s been more than 50 years since Cornell finished in the top three at Heps four times in a row, but this Big Red team has a chance to match that feat … “We are led by three fantastic seniors in NCAA qualifiers Nate Edelman [Memphis, Tenn.] and Adrien Dannemiller [Martinsville, Ind.] and captain Matt DeSilva [St. Charles, Ill.],” said Coach Robert Johnson. “Nate has come an awfully long way from his high school days when he only ran 9:32 as a senior. He made NCAAs last year in cross country and is hoping to make it back this year and be a top 50 guy.” … Edelman was fourth last year at Heps and led his Red to a fifth-place finish at the Penn State Nationals recently … Dannemiller, the second finisher for Cornell at Penn State, was an NCAA qualifier on the track, but missed Heps cross country as he was studying abroad.
