On a day that American education took a huge blow with the release of the Programme for International Student Assessment and Columbia University reported that its field hockey team jumped in the ocean, here at we were particularly pleased to see the release of the Academic All-Ivy team for the fall of 2010.

Fourteen of the 80 selectees were cross country runners, including Heps Cross Country Champion and All-American Alex Banfich of Princeton. These student-athletes, with a minimum grade-point average of 3.0, were selected in committee by their respective institutions. We congratulate them all.
