Halim Takes Flight

Nothing like video! Former Cornell standout triple jumper Aaron Gadson sent us a brief clip of another former Cornellian leaper — Muhammad Halim — breaking the Barton Hall record and the U.S. Virgin Island national record in one fell swoop at the Cornell Relays. His mark was measured at 16.70 meters (54-9 1/2).

UPDATE: I don’t know what the Haitian record for hopping four times on one’s left foot would be, but Harvard graduate Samyr Laine unleashed an impressive 73-foot lefty quad hop in his diagnostic training. Go here to take a look and click here for a full report from Samyr’s terrific blog.
