2009 Men’s Shot Put

George Abyad (Princeton), Bryan Powlen (Brown), Erik Roneker (Cornell), Eric Plummer (Princeton), Jeff Lachman (Yale), Jack Brady (Harvard). Princeton junior Eric Plummer had the longest shot put at the Championships since 2001 in claiming the title. His 58-4 effort was about two-and-a-half feet better than the competition. All five of his marks (he fouled on his second throw) were longer than anyone else’s best.
